Bedbound pensioner, 84, convicted of not insuring car she’ll never use again

The octogenarian penned a letter on her heartbreaking circumstances with the help of her nephew, who now has lasting power of attorney and assists with day to day tasks, telling the court: “I am not sure if I will ever leave my bedroom at the age of 84, but I certainly won’t ever drive a car again.”
