A horse who cost just 6,000 guineas is tipped to bag a huge prize on day two of the Ebor meeting while a rising star can upset the favourite in the Yorkshire Oaks, says our tipster

THE Yorkshire Oaks is the day two highlight at the York Ebor Festival.

Minnie Hauk puts her big reputation on the line after winning the Oaks at Epsom and the Irish equivalent at the Curragh.

Daily Star Chief Tipster Jason Heavey offers his race-by-race guide…

1.50 SKY BET LOWTHER STAKES (Group 2) 6f

IT IS hard to shift the focus away from ROYAL FIXATION .

Ed Walker’s filly breezed to an easy victory on her debut at Thirsk before putting it up to the unbeaten Venetian Sun in the Group Two Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket.

She failed by a neck to reel in the winner who is clearly the best juvenile filly we have seen this season.

The pair were well clear of some good opposition and Royal Fixation should go one better today.

The daughter of Palace Pier looks like she will stay further and the only nagging doubt is that this six furlongs may be too sharp.

America Queen showed a terrific turn of foot to score at Haydock on her debut and Richard Hughes has snapped up Ryan Moore, while Staya has done little wrong and has place prospects.

Wor Faayth won a Listed race in France with a bit in hand and also has each-way claims while the admirable Argentine Tango is yet to finish out of the first three in seven starts. She is the each-way play at 12-1.

TIP: ROYAL FIXATION Each-way: Argentine Tango

2.25 HARRY’S HALF MILLION BY GOFFS GBB RACE (2yo) 6f

BARGAIN buy ANTHELIA can show that racehorse owners can sometime live the dream.

She cost Middleham Park Racing 6,000 guineas and today’s first prize pot is £338,000.

The daughter of Supremacy has already bagged £171,000 in earnings by winning four of her five starts.

She tackles six furlongs for the first time but the way she finished off her race at Newbury in the Super Sprint suggests she should have no trouble with the distance.

Despite 22 runners, this race is never that competitive. Tadej is the clear pick on ratings but has a penalty for winning a Group Three race in Deauville.

Raakeb and Song of the Clyde have some solid form and should be in the mix.

Rikki Tiki Tavi could improve on his victory at Thirsk while Ardisia is tough and should run his race.

Kamakameleon looks overpriced (28-1) and will be lumbered with my each-way shillings.

TIP: ANTHELIA Each-way: Kamakameleon

3.00 CLIPPER HERITAGE HANDICAP 1 mile

BULLET POINT is overdue to hit the target.

He has been chinned in two big Ascot handicaps but today could be his day in the sun.

This race always takes some winning but Bullet Point has a perfect draw to allow him to bounce out and either dictate the pace or get a nice tow into the race.

The handicapper keeps edging him up the weights for coming second but he is a big horse with real quality so the extra pounds should not stop him.

Remmooz is progressive and won a class 2 handicap last month over course and distance. He is a big player along with Leadman, who was second at Newbury last weekend.

Leadman is one of five David O’Meara runners and they all have some sort of chance.

Apiarist goes well at York and ran a blinder at this meeting last year.

He is around the 16-1 mark which is a very generous each-way price.

TIP: BULLET POINT Each-way: Apiarist

3.35 PERTEMPS NETWORK YORKSHIRE OAKS

ESTRANGE (3.35) looks a white-hot alternative to hot favourite Minnie Hauk in the Yorkshire Oaks on day two of the Ebor Festival.

David O’Meara’s beautiful grey is working her way through the grades and after Listed, Group Three and Two triumphs she finally tackles Group One company.

She does not want firm ground and her trainer believes the surface on the Knavesmire will be okay for her.

The year younger Minnie Hauk has been imperious in winning the Oaks at Epsom and the Irish equivalent.

She will be hard to beat but at 4-11 she makes no appeal in the betting and the 5-1 about Estrange is a more palatable alternative.

Qilin Queen and Garden of Eden are good fillies in their own right but it would be a surprise if they were to win.

TIP: ESTRANGE

4.10 BRITISH EBF AND SIR HENRY CECIL GALTRES STAKES (LISTED RACE) 1m 4f

AEOLIAN can raise the roof and give the King and Queen a winner on the Knavesmire.

William Haggas has chucked the filly into this Listed race on just her third start and would not have been so bold if he did not think she was good enough.

She is a half sister to Royal Ascot winner Desert Hero and after a promising second on debut she won a novice event at Newmarket.

This is much tougher but I fancy her to improve enough to give Haggas and Tom Marquand a double.

The King and Queen have a second runner in Rainbows Edge who is the highest rated in the race and was a solid second at the track last month.

Karmology was second to Scenic in this race last year and is tough and streetwise, while Ralph Beckett is represented by the useful Lady Vivian.

Dermot Weld’s Alice Monet is improving and she appeals at 10-1 as one to end up on the podium.

TIP: AEOLIAN Each-way: Alice Monet

4.45 MEWS HOTEL OSSETT EBF STALLIONS NURSERY HANDICAP (2YO) 7F

AMAZING JOURNEY (4.45, nb) enjoyed an awful journey at Glorious Goodwood when he got no sort of run in a competitive nursery.

He flew home once he was in the clear on ground that would not have been ideal.

I think he would have won, so the only bonus is that he is just 1lb higher in the handicap today in what is a humdinger of a race instead of 6lb/7lb loftier for winning at Goodwood.

Saffie Osborne had earlier steered him to a smooth success at York over 6f and he is a very strong candidate to be in the first four at least.

Special Dividend is unbeaten and among a flurry of dangers.

He has won twice on the all-weather and will have to replicate that form on turf but he looks progressive.

Peel Park is well drawn and impressed when scoring at Yarmouth, while Daydreama is overpriced at 16-1.

TIP: AMAZING JOURNEY (nb) Each-way: Special Dividend

5.20 BRITISH EBF FILLIES’ HANDICAP 7f

MAYBE NOT (nap) is definitely one to consider in a tricky end to day two.

The filly has improved race by race and has won two of her four three-year-old starts.

She is a strong traveller and her victory over a mile at Kempton eight days ago saw her produce a potent turn of foot.

Maybe Not makes a fairly quick reappearance, but if she can back that run up off a 6lb penalty, she will be bang there. She is fairly handicapped and has scope for more improvement.

Mollie Foster was two and a half lengths behind Maybe Not at Newbury and is 7lb better off, so she enters the each-way reckoning at a chunky 25-1.

Paddy Twomey’s Bonus Time will have her supporters while a wide draw may not help the well fancied Dance in The Storm and Oisin Murphy.

Callianassa has been in great form on the sand and has claims if she can be ass effective on turf.

TIP: MAYBE NOT (Nap) Each-way: Mollie Foster
