ITV Emmerdale fans ‘rumble’ who John buried in the woods – and it’s not Mack

Emmerdale fans are convinced they know whose body John Sugden buried in the woods – and it’s not Mack despite as ‘we haven’t seen a body’

Emmerdale just keeps getting more explosive as murderer John Sugden attempted to conceal his crimes following what appeared to be Mack’s brutal killing.

In shocking scenes, viewers witnessed John firing a bow and arrow at Mack, before savagely smashing his skull with a rock. Whilst Mack’s corpse wasn’t actually shown – audiences did glimpse a body beneath a sheet in John’s van.

Nevertheless, some viewers remain convinced it belongs to someone else entirely. In a later episode John seemed to be interring a corpse in the woodland, concealing something beneath fallen leaves. Certain fans believe there’s a massive plot twist approaching, and it isn’t actually Mack’s remains at all….

“Long shot but what if the body in the woods is Anthony and not Mack? Killing off Mack would be mental even for these writers,” penned one viewer, reports the Mirror.

“We haven’t seen a body. Just saying,” commented another fan with one responding, “Or Anthony’s..

“So John buried Mack under a pile of leaves?” queried another. “Knowing the wind would blow them away and his ‘body’ would be discovered? ? and somehow Mack’s blood got inside on the drivers side? ? ? there’s a twist somewhere. got to be surely? ? ? ?”.

Anthony met his end at the hands of his daughter Ruby Milligan, after Aaron Dingle mistakenly thought he was the perpetrator following a vicious confrontation that left him beaten. John was responsible for disposing of the corpse, claiming he had buried it in the forest.

However, Steph exposed this as false and his actual location remains a mystery. Viewers became convinced that Mack might still be breathing after what appeared to be a ‘shock twist’ in the ITV drama.

One optimistic viewer wrote: “Mack’s not dead til body turns up, fake out coming.”

Another pondered: “Is Mack dead or not? Will we find out tomorrow? I think that he will live.”

Some fans delved deeper into their theories, with one speculating: “No goodbye video from the official Emmerdale account which makes me a bit suspicious. MAYBE just maybe – Mack is lying unconscious in John’s van and the he will be kept hostage for a few weeks until we see him again?”.

Naturally, none of the residents suspect Mack has been killed, and in tonight’s instalment, Charity was left heartbroken when she received a text from Mack – though viewers are aware it was actually John behind the message.

In John’s devious text, he pretended that Mack had abandoned the village and chosen to walk away from his marriage to his expectant wife Charity, making it crystal clear he wouldn’t be in touch again.

But what lies ahead and will John’s deception be exposed?
