EXCLUSIVE: Beyonce and Jay-Z are in the final stages of grabbing some land in the Cotswolds, with them set to build a multi-million pound mansion near to Jeremy Clarkson
Jeremy Clarkson has taken a swipe at his new neighbours Beyonce and Jay-Z. The presenter will soon be living near the A-List couple as they are planning to build a mansion in the area, but he insists he isn’t bothered at all.
He told the Daily Star: “I have literally no f***ing clue who they are. I honestly don’t know who they are.”
Jeremy also ranted that it’s a myth that the Cotswolds are rife with A Listers.
He added: “Everybody says the Cotswolds has been taken over by celebrities, but I don’t see them.
“I look out of my window in the morning and I don’t see them. If they’ve got a house five miles away… it’s like saying celebrities are taking over Fulham.”
Jeremy’s rant came as he won a gong at the National Television Awards on Wednesday.
His show Clarkson’s Farm topped a public vote to take the gong for Factual Entertainment.
Jeremy is convinced the result means viewers are backing farmers after seeing how tough life is for them.
He said: “Farming is a difficult job and I appreciate the way people are going, ‘I didn’t know where my sausages came from’.
“You don’t love farming, you love moments of it — it is really tricky right now.
“Farmers work so hard for no money so it’s delightful that people recognise a farming show can beat a house cleaning show.”
