A bathroom specialist has revealed that a simple two-minute trick to shower routines which could save UK households over £300 a year. Thankfully, this neat little hack does not affect water pressure – and no, it is not about cutting down your shower to two minutes.

The trick, according to Dimitri Zobnin, founder and owner of House of Enki, is turning off the shower mid-wash. He explained that turning off the water while lathering or shampooing can reduce shower water usage by up to 30 per cent.

He said: “UK water bills continue to rise because of increasing rates and more people must consider their water usage who would not typically need to.
