Strictly’s Thomas Skinner looks stressed in public first time since cheating row

Strictly Come Dancing star Thomas Skinner has been spotted for the first time since he admitted to cheating on his wife, who he married in May 2022

Strictly Come Dancing’s Thomas Skinner was seen having a lengthy phone conversation as he made his first public appearance since confessing to being unfaithful to his wife.

The Apprentice star, 34, disclosed over the weekend that he had engaged in a “two-week fling” with a beauty clinic owner just a fortnight after exchanging vows.

The businessman described the affair as the “biggest mistake” of his life and revealed he subsequently apologised to his spouse.

Thomas encountered the woman at a local pub where she allegedly proposed “cosmetic slimming treatments” to him, reports the Mirror. The brief relationship occurred mere weeks after he wed wife Sinead in May 2022.

A visibly emotional Thomas described his wife, who is the mother of his children, as the best thing that ever happened to him and admitted feeling immediate remorse after his liaison with beauty clinic proprietor Amy-Lucy O’Rourke.

He confessed to waking up with instant regret about his infidelity. “I’m so lucky she forgave me,” he remarked about his spouse.

Thomas continued: “It was the worst thing I’ve ever had to do. It was terrible, I’m a very, very open book, and I don’t hide anything from my wife. She was obviously distraught, upset.”

Following his public confession, the market trader turned television personality was photographed arriving at Strictly rehearsals in a high-top Transit van bearing a parking ticket on the windscreen.

After securing his vehicle, he was observed engaged in an animated phone call, appearing cheerful throughout the exchange.

He subsequently emerged from the grey van carrying a large juice bottle and sports bag. Dressed in a purple polo shirt and grey shorts, he sported black dance shoes and his wedding ring for the demanding rehearsals that lay ahead.

When Thomas disclosed his infidelity, he acknowledged that he would understand if his wife Sinead chose never to speak to him again following his confession. Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Thomas went on: “No one else made me do what I’ve done.

“But it just shows how something so brief could ruin your life.”

Now, Sinead serves as his anchor, whom he credits with shaping him into the man he is today.

“My wife is my rock,” he declared, continuing: “She’s the person I adore more than anything in the world. And I let her down, I’m ashamed, I’m so fortunate my wife’s forgiven me, she didn’t deserve it. I was a selfish person.”

Currently, the pair are experiencing their happiest period, with Sinead backing him throughout his Strictly journey.

However, Thomas maintained that his bereavement influenced his choice to be unfaithful, with the affair occurring just one day after a dear friend, known as Big Mark, had tragically passed away. Mark had provided Thomas with shelter when he was without a home and served as a paternal figure to him.

Nevertheless, the woman Thomas was unfaithful with maintains that it was more than a brief encounter and insists she was in a relationship with Thomas. A representative for Amy Lucy spoke to the Mirror, stating: “This has been an incredibly stressful and painful chapter in Amy Lucy’s life. She did not have a fling with Mr Skinner, she had a relationship with him and was deceived then treated appallingly. She will consider her response and speak her truth in due course.”
