Loren Schauers, 25, from Montana, USA, has been documenting his struggles living as a triple amputee after he suffered catastrophic injuries in a forklift accident

The man who was brutally cut in half in an horrific forklift accident has had his identity stolen again after another “fake profile” popped up on social media. Loren Schauers, 25, from Montana, USA, lost three limbs and faced a long road to recovery after being crushed by the truck in September 2019.

He made the brave decision to let doctors perform a hemicorporectomy – amputating everything below his waist to save his life. He has since become a successful YouTuber and social media personality by documenting how his life has changed because of his surgery.

Loren has won legions of admirers but now he has revealed someone has tried to steal his identity again after another “fake profile” emerged on Facebook.

He wrote on the platform: “Yet another impersonator page y’all, you know the drill.

“Go and report them and leave reviews letting people know they’re fake please!” The profile had 25,000 followers and hundreds of video posts taken from the actual Loren Schauers page and YouTube channel.

The page has been around for a few months when the first posts came in May this year. Earlier this year, Loren revealed he still keeps one pair of shoes, despite losing both his legs in the traumatic accident.

In a recent appearance on their YouTube channel, the couple answered several questions from fans. When asked “are you ever depressed?” Loren replied: “I have bad days like everyone else, I wouldn’t say I’m depressed though.”

Sabia, reading the questions, then asked him: “What hobbies did you have before the accident that you really miss, and are there any that you still have?”

Loren replied: “I love driving vehicles, that’s for sure. I used to be a huge shoe and hat collector. Don’t do either of those now because hats are super uncomfortable when I’m sitting in a wheelchair because I’m a wear-my-hat-backwards type guy.”

“So I gave up on hats. Gave up on shoes too, for obvious reasons,” he joked, hinting at his life-changing injury.

He added: “I do still hold a pair of shoes though – the Jordans – they’re like the Holy Grail. Nicely safe and tucked away.”

Last year Loren revealed his desire for children with Sabia in an interview, with either a donor option or adoption in place as they plan on starting their own family.
