More singles are set to tie the knot on tonight’s episode of Married At First Sight UK, but it seems one bride is set to have serious second thoughts
Married At First Sight UK enthusiasts are bracing themselves for another dramatic instalment tonight (September 23) as more fresh couples exchange vows.
Following the show’s comeback on September 21, audiences have already watched four pairs pledge themselves to total strangers, though not all Married At First Sight UK participants are thrilled with their matches. Aberdeen’s Sarah, 31, found herself paired with romantic Dean, also 31, from Feltham – whilst Dean seemed pleased with the arrangement, Sarah felt no “instant spark”.
Meanwhile, Davide and Keye are growing in strength as firm viewer favourites, with newly married Steven and Neelima also experiencing immediate chemistry. However, midwife Grace appears equally troubled by the absence of a spark upon first encountering groom Ashley.
Tonight (September 23) brings additional singletons preparing for their wedding day. Yet in typical MAFS UK fashion, a preview suggests complications lie ahead, reports OK!
The narrator hints: “As two more brave singles enter the experiment, one of the brides has serious second thoughts.”
Liverpool businesswoman Leah, 35, is gearing up for her special moment as she prepares to wed 30-year-old Leigh from Romford. During the teaser footage, Leah admits: “I’m scared, but I’m definitely ready.”
Nevertheless, when invited to share their first kiss, Leigh suggests: “Shall we do a cheek?” whilst Leah confides to cameras: “I don’t know if she fancies me you know.”
In another snippet, Leigh seems to be second-guessing herself as she exclaims: “F***, I made a mistake. S***.”
NHS Clinical Coder Leigh is a self-confessed girly girl with a “passionate fiery side”. The 30-year-old has been on her own for about a year and was previously engaged, which left her “heartbroken and lost all of her confidence.”
She’s been matched by experts with Liverpudlian Leah, who couldn’t figure out why she never felt “butterflies” when dating blokes. It wasn’t until her first smooch with a woman at 25 that she “realised why”.
E4 hinted: “She’s hoping the experts will be able to find her a woman that wakes up with a smile on her face, who is spontaneous, and loves to laugh. Leah hopes she can slot into her family like she would be welcomed in hers.”
Will there be an immediate spark between Leigh and Leah? Viewers will have to tune in tonight to see.
Meanwhile, tonight’s episode will also follow Sarah and Dean as they try to navigate their budding relationship, with Sarah’s doubts about her pairing with Dean continuing to mount. During their honeymoon, Dean poses the question: “Would it be any different if I wasn’t as big?”.
To which Sarah pauses before admitting: “Erm… probably.”
MAFS UK continues tonight at 9pm on E4 at 9pm
