Cops have launched an investigation after the rape and murder of three women in a horrific crime which was broadcast live on TikTok

A horrific rape, torture and murder of three women was live-streamed on TikTok, according to police. Officers are probing the case after it emerged that approximately 45 individuals watched the gruesome acts, which included a woman having her fingers severed and another being suffocated with a plastic bag in a private group on the social media site.

One of the victims, Lara Gutierrez, was just 15 years old. The other two have been identified as Brenda del Castillo, 20, and Morena Verdi, 21.

Local news outlets report that the trio were accused of nicking cocaine by a drug gang. Police believe they were lured to a “house of horrors” on the fringes of Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, roughly 20 miles from their homes.

The women were then subjected to brutal treatment and killed in what is being labelled a “revenge killing”, allegedly orchestrated by the gang leader. The crime lord, identified as a Peruvian national who is thought to have fled the country, reportedly ordered the savage murders as a “warning” to others, reports the Mirror.

Javier Alonso, Buenos Aires’ security minister, confirmed the dreadful events were filmed and broadcast live online. He stated: “It was for a closed group of around 45 people. That’s the information we have obtained so far from the investigation.

“It is relevant to the motive for the murders, which is that the leader of the gang is saying: ‘This is what happens to you if you steal drugs from me.'”.

The bodies of the three young women were discovered yesterday, five days after they vanished at around 9.30pm last Friday.

“They were last seen getting into a vehicle voluntarily because they had been invited to an event, not knowing they were falling into a trap set for them by an international drugs trafficking gang which had hatched a plan to kill them,” Alonso said.

“The families of the victims have been informed. The bodies were found in the early hours of the morning buried in a garden. The drugs trafficking organisation has its operational command in Buenos Aires and they had chosen this house to carry out the murders.

“Four people have so far been arrested. The vehicle the girls were picked up in was located 100 metres from the house. It had been set alight and was burnt out. We are convinced the victims were killed on Friday night between 11pm and midnight… Our investigation to apprehend the intellectual and material authors is very advanced.”

The horrific crime was labelled a “narco act of revenge” by the official, with local media reports suggesting one or two of the three women murdered had been accused of nicking four kilos of cocaine from the gang.

The youngest victim, 15 year old Lara Gutierrez, reportedly had all five fingers on her left hand severed before her captors murdered her. Meanwhile the body of Brenda Del Castillo, 20, was discovered with a fractured skull.

Her abdomen had been slashed open after she was killed. Morena Verdi, 21, was reportedly suffocated when one of the brutes forced a plastic bag over her head.

The horrific crime unfolded after the women were lured into attending what local press referred to as a sex party, with a promised payment of £220 ($300).

“This is the most sordid and horrifying case we have ever had to deal with,” a Buenos Aires prosecutor expressed. Prior to the grim discovery of the three women’s bodies, Josefina del Castillo, who identified Brenda and Morena as her nieces, made a public plea for information.

She implored: “They are three young girls, three families that are today suffering and desperate. Please contact the authorities if you have any information.”

She later added: “Thank you to all those who accompanied without judgement and without too many questions. Thank you to all those who understood the oldest of these girls was just 20. Nobody deserved the ending they had. All lives matter.”

Authorities confirmed four arrests yesterday, with an additional eight suspects believed to have been detained overnight. Police stormed the “house of horrors” in the Buenos Aires suburb of Florencia Varela, where the murders occurred.

Two women were apprehended while attempting to clean the property as officers descended on the scene.

Among those arrested are three Argentinians aged 18, 19 and 28, including the two women, and a 27 year old Peruvian.
