Married At First Sight UK has returned to E4 with a brand new series, but some fans have been left confused over the schedule as the show has been given a huge shake up

The tenth series of Married At First Sight UK has made a triumphant return to our screens this month, with a fresh batch of singletons ready to take the plunge and marry a total stranger.

Already, the series has kicked off with a bang, serving up plenty of drama and cringe-worthy encounters. Several couples have already said their vows, pledging their commitment to each other as their relationships begin to blossom.

However, for some, the journey is proving more challenging than they initially thought due to a lack of “connection”. Some prospective brides and grooms are grappling with their matched pairings, struggling to find common ground and often facing criticism from viewers.

Despite the marriages not being legally binding, the couples still make a pledge to each other as they embark on the experiment in the hope of elevating their relationship status. But in true MAFS UK fashion, viewers can expect plenty of drama, whirlwind weddings and intense reunions.

As the new series unfolds, some fans may be puzzled as to why Married At First Sight UK is airing on different days compared to last season, in what’s been dubbed a significant scheduling shake-up. Some might be expecting to tune in tonight and are left wondering why it isn’t on (September 27).

When is Married At First Sight UK on?

Married At First Sight UK returned to E4 on Sunday, September 21. Viewers will instead be treated to an instalment every day from Sunday through to Thursday.

This means the programme will only be off-air on Fridays and Saturdays. The show will maintain its 9pm start time with each episode having different durations.

For viewers, the next episode will broadcast on Sunday, September 28 at 9pm.

Where can I watch MAFS UK?

Married At First Sight UK will be shown on E4, but those who miss it can catch up on Channel 4 on demand, reports OK!.

Channel 4 also tells viewers: “There’s four episodes a week from Sunday to Thursday at 9pm on E4. Want to binge instead? Well you can with back-to-back episodes from 7pm on Fridays on E4 or click here to catch up online anytime (Channel4.com).”

Will anything else change?

The rest of MAFS UK stays unchanged, including the programme’s format which will see 18 singles walk down the aisle with a complete stranger they’ve never encountered before. The nine couples will then head off to their honeymoon location where they’ll discover more about each other.

Shortly after, they’ll cohabit and endure weekly make-or-break ceremonies, all leading up to a dramatic reunion. And who could overlook the dinner parties?
