Channel 4 is set to air a two-part documentary series on Taylor Swift, which will delve into the popstar’s rise to fame and the truth behind her infamous feuds

Channel 4 is set to peel back the layers of Taylor Swift’s meteoric rise to stardom in a brand new documentary series.

The channel will air Taylor: The Star Who Changed The World in just a few days, and it’s expected to be a treat for Swifties.

Before its launch, Channel 4’s commissioning editor Shaminder Nahal outlined why Swift made an ideal subject for the two-part documentary.

Nahal said: “Her journey has been nothing short of epic, and we’re keen for this series reflect all the joy and artistry, the heartbreaks and high stakes, of her stunning career, while also showing viewers sides of Taylor Swift that they might not know or expect.”

When does the Taylor Swift documentary come out?

Swifties mark your calendars as Taylor: The Star Who Changed The World is scheduled to debut on Channel 4 this Tuesday, September 30th at 9:15pm.

Both instalments will air on Tuesday and they will also be available to stream on Channel 4’s catch-up platform.

What is the Taylor Swift documentary about?

Featuring contributions from band members, industry experts and dedicated fans, the two-part series examines Swift’s 20-year career.

Amongst those interviewed is online content creator Niamh Adkins, who reveals how influential the pop sensation has been in her life.

Other self-professed Swifties, including one who first met the singer in 2003, share their admiration for the American star.

The series also includes personal anecdotes from Swift’s ex-bandmate Emily Poe Stumler, who played the fiddle for her between 2006 and 2007.

Additionally, viewers will get to uncover the truth behind Swift’s notorious feuds over the years – from her disputes with Kanye West to her recent conflict with record executive Scooter Braun.

As per the official synopsis: “Taylor will delve deep into the musician’s 20-year career, a period that has seen her rise beyond the status of pop star to become an unparalleled cultural icon.

“Through interviews with high-profile commentators, industry insiders and fans, the documentary explores the influences that have shaped her path and the dedicated community she has inspired.”

It further states: “Rare archive footage will offer fresh insights into Taylor and her story as the series traces her journey from an ambitious teenager with lofty dreams to one of the most influential and scrutinised figures of our era.”

Taylor premieres on Channel 4 this Tuesday 30th September at 9:15pm.
