Emmerdale fans are convinced who will bring down Celia Daniels after it was revealed she’s the real mastermind behind the drugs gang.
Viewers witnessed Celia’s (Jaye Griffiths) shocking transformation as she abandoned her compassion and violently slapped April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) during Thursday’s (October 2) episode in a shock twist which saw her true colours exposed.
Celia ominously warned April about the rules and consequences of her monumental stupidity, threatening her life if she didn’t lie to the police about how she obtained the drugs which left her little brother Leo Goskirk (Harvey Rogerson) in danger.
Drug dealer Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) was previously thought to be in charge of the operation but was seen reduced to a cowering wreck in front of the woman he calls “mum”, clearly illustrating Celia’s absolute control.
During Friday’s (October 3) episode, the pressure was on for April as she desperately tried to get herself out of trouble.
Faced with questioning from social services over her younger brother Leo taking ecstasy, April’s top priority was to avoid the wrath of evil Celia.
April consulted with Ray and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) after her frightening showdown with Celia and Ray took a stern approach towards the teens ordering them to focus on clearing the debt, keeping Celia happy and getting social services quickly out of the picture.
A panicking April was coached over her enforced interview with the social worker where she was forced to lie about what really happened to Leo.
After turning into the latest instalment of the soap, fans rushed to social media o share a theory on what will happen next.
Taking to an Emmerdale Facebook group, one fan penned: I think in the end Ray will turn on Celia and save the kids from her and free himself.”
Another added: “Would be nice if this was to happen.” A third person agreed: “Yes my thoughts too.”
Celia actress Jaye Griffiths recently addressed the dark storyline and twist: “At last the audience have seen the familial link between her and Ray and the fact she is the mastermind behind it all.
“There is lots more drama to come but I feel that the context of the whole operation is now apparent and so the audience will now be fearing how trapped these kids are as it’s very clear Celia and Ray are not beginners at this.”
