Strictly Come Dancing favourite Vicky Pattison has admitted that she’s banned husband Ercan Ramadan from the “Mattress Mambo” while she competes in the BBC competition
Strictly Come Dancing’s Vicky Pattison says her husband is hoping she gets axed after enforcing a sex ban.
The reality TV star joked she’s too tired after dancing on the hit show to perform the ‘Mattress Mambo’ at home as well. Revealing her Strictly no sex rule, the 37-year-old laughed: “Ercan’s having to be patient at the moment because I’m exhausted. I think he’s the only person in my inner circle who is secretly hoping I get booted out.”
“After a full day at Strictly doing the Charleston, the last thing you feel like doing is going home to do the Mattress Mambo!”
She also revealed that Ercan, 32, is currently in the bad books: “Obviously I love my husband, he’s wicked, but he’s in the dog house at the moment. We had a trip booked to go visit his family and then I got Strictly so I told him to go without me, but it’s been really hard coming home to a cold, dark, empty house.”
“The dogs aren’t even there because I’m working 14-hours a day. You need some normality when you are out of your comfort zone, scared, lonely, working hard. It’s been really hard without him but he’s back now.”
“He’s my number one supporter, I am really lucky but he is probably hoping he gets sex soon.”
Former I’m A Celeb winner Vicky is a fan favourite and predicted to get to the finals with pro partner Kai Widdrington, 30, but the reality TV star admitted: “I feel so out of my depth I could cry just thinking about it. I never expected to be this scared all the time. It’s exhausting.”
“I’m hoping at some point the penny drops and I think: ‘I’m on Strictly, isn’t this really fun?’ but at the minute I’m just living in habitual fear.”
In Ercan’s absence Vicky has been relying on her fellow celebs to keep her chirpy: “Pete Wicks is constantly checking in on me and trying to wrap me in cotton wool. The other contestants have been great too, Kaz Carney will come to my dressing room and I’ll have a little cry, Chris Robshaw is always giving me a big brother type bear hug every time I see him.”
“Jonathan King is always holding my hand and George Clarke texts me every day to make sure I’m ok. I could probably do with meditating or breath-work but it’s actually the people on the show who are getting me through this.”
Vicky also joked that she’d feel better if she managed to get a few higher scores from the judges: “I’ve been flirting with Anton, I just want a seven and I’ve been flirting with him but he’s not bothered.”
