The BBC has announced the return of Celebrity Escape to the Country with a host of famous faces taking time out from their hectic lives to explore some of Britain’s most picturesque regions

Celebrity Escape to the Country is set to return with a glittering array of stars.

The BBC has revealed that the popular show will feature a host of celebrities keen to trade city living for a taste of the countryside.

Following the success of series two, which attracted nearly three million viewers at its peak, the programme is poised to continue its winning streak with series three.

The upcoming series will showcase a variety of well-known personalities taking time out from their hectic lives to explore some of Britain’s most picturesque regions, uncovering beautiful rural homes and savouring the allure of country life.

This season welcomes journalist and TV presenter Janet Street Porter, choirmaster and broadcaster Gareth Malone, singer and actor Chesney Hawkes, ex-footballer and TV personality Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock, broadcaster and presenter Angellica Bell, and Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer and choreographer Neil Jones.

Strictly fans were left disappointed as Neil was left without a celebrity partner for the 2025 series of the BBC competition.

Assisted by Escape’s team of hosts, the celebrities will embark on an exciting journey into the wilderness, exploring locations ranging from the ancient woodlands of the New Forest to the wild moorlands of Yorkshire and beyond.

These new hour-long specials will once again follow our celebrities as they step outside their familiar urban environments in search of the ideal countryside retreat. Along their journey, they’ll experience the joys and realities of rural life, from breathtaking landscapes and charming homes to the unique communities that make Britain’s countryside so special.

Each episode provides not only a peek into the property market but also a personal journey, as the celebrities reflect on what inspires their own dream of a simpler, slower-paced life.

John Comerford, Head of Naked West, a Fremantle label and Executive Producer, expressed his excitement: “We are thrilled to be announcing the return of Celebrity Escape to the Country.”, reports Wales Online.

He added: “Watching our celebrities experience the beauty of rural Britain, whilst exploring the possibility of a new life in the countryside, is a joy, and we cannot wait for viewers to see it.”

Julie Shaw, Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime, shared her thoughts: “There’s nothing quite like sitting at home and watching your favourite celebrities try and find their dream homes across the UK and realising they’re just like us!” She continued: “Celebrity Escape to the Country has quickly won over the hearts of audiences as they get an exclusive look into the non-negotiables of our house-hunting stars!”.
