I’m A Celebrity viewers were left ‘heaving’ as they branded a gruesome fish eye trial the ‘worst in the history of the show’ during Wednesday night’s episode
Viewers of I’m A Celebrity were left feeling queasy after witnessing what they’ve dubbed the “worst trial in the history of the show”.
In Wednesday’s episode (26th November) of the popular ITV reality programme, the campmates found themselves divided into two groups and pitted against each other.
This shake-up saw all 12 celebrities participate in the latest Bushtucker Trial. Each contestant now has a rival whom they will compete against in challenges over the coming days, as decided by the public vote.
The victors will return to the main camp, now rebranded as ‘Win City’, where they’ll be treated to six meals. However, the less fortunate six will be sent to ‘Doomsville’, where their dinner will consist of rice and beans.
The stomach-churning challenge involved a concoction of pig brains, fish guts, and a tank of offal. As anticipated, it was not for the faint-hearted, reports the Express.
However, the most revolting task was reserved for former footballer Alex Scott and ex-EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, who were chosen to face off in Eye to Eye.
The objective of this gruesome game was to be the first to extract juice from a raw fish eye and fill a shot glass with it using only their mouths. Once the shot glass was full, they then had to drink its contents.
Despite a nail-biting race to fill the shot glass, former Lioness Alex managed to down the shot in one go, securing her victory. However, she promptly regurgitated it into the sick bucket conveniently placed beside her.
Viewers were quick to voice their reactions on social media, with the shocking moment sparking a flurry of comments.
One viewer took to Twitter, exclaiming: “Nah, I think that trial with Alex and Shona was the worst one in the history of trials. I was heaving the whole way through, and I’m just watching!! #ImACeleb.”
Another chimed in: “That has to be the most gross trial so far. Look at Ginge and Aitch’s reaction,” referring to the pair’s visible discomfort on the sidelines.
A third fan posted: “That was the worst trial yet omg disgusting.” Echoing this sentiment, another follower declared: “That’s the most disgusting trial I’ve ever seen.”
