“Formal identification has yet to take place, however, the family of Brandon Parfitt, have been notified.”

Brandon’s brother Tristan Parfitt and their other siblings had been actively leading a search on social media and expressed growing concern for his welfare. Brandon was last spotted in Market Street in Ebbw Vale, Wales on Sunday, reports the Mirror.

This news comes as the mother of missing student Jack O’Sullivan has issued a new appeal to find him after he “went out for a drink with friends and didn’t come home” 18 months ago.

Jack, then 23, was last seen at 3.15am on Saturday, March 2, 2024, following a night out at a party in Bristol.

Despite numerous searches and a high-profile campaign, no leads have been found, according to his family, and they are “no closer” to discovering what happened to him since the day he went missing. His mother Catherine O’Sullivan, 53, of Flax Bourton, near Bristol, has made a renewed plea

She posted a photo of him and wrote: “This is my son Jack – He is the most wonderful son, brother, and friend to many. He’s a really kind and caring person who always puts others first.

“It’s approaching 18 months since he was last at home with us. Eighteen months of absolute hell and unimaginable pain without Jack in our lives.

“This has been covered by many news and social media outlets.

“After a total disaster of an investigation by the police we still have absolutely no answers. We know someone out there knows what has happened to Jack.”

Jack is described as 5ft 10in and of slim build with short brown hair, and was dressed in a Barbour jacket over a beige wool jumper, navy chinos and brown leather trainers when he vanished.

He’d been out for the evening with university mates at the pub before heading to a house party in Hotwells, Bristol.

He told his mum he was catching a taxi home around 2am, before departing the party at around 3am. CCTV footage captures Jack wandering about for 30 minutes.

At 3.24am he rang a mate and, when they called back 10 minutes later, Jack answered “hello” before the line went dead, but police say his mobile stayed active in the vicinity until 6.44am.
