Strictly Come Dancing star Ross King has spoken out about his first rehearsal
Strictly Come Dancing star Ross King opened up on his “unbelievable” first day as he told fans to “watch out”.
The ITV entertainment presenter was unveiled as the 13th celebrity to join this year’s line-up on Friday’s (August 15) episode of Lorraine.
Upon joining Strictly, Ross expressed his excitement: “From the bright lights of Hollywood to the glittering ballroom – it’s a dream come true to be part of such an iconic show.
“I can’t wait to learn from the best, meet my fellow contestants, and, most importantly… try not to step on too many toes! Let’s give this the best that I can! As my mum always said, ‘You’ll never know till you give it a go!'”
Ross made a return to the show on Monday (August 18) morning, where he chatted with host Ranvir Singh about his initial rehearsal with his co-stars, reports Wales Online.

“I’ve realised that dancing is in my blood, it just hasn’t reached my feet yet,” he quipped.
“[The first rehearsal] was unbelievable… It was like the first day of school, but it wasn’t like a bad first day… Everyone was so warm and welcoming.”
He continued: “I feel like I’ve spent the whole weekend in the bath, and I’m not kidding. I’ve just been lying in the bath recovering. I was shattered after Friday.”
Ross also shared his experience of “speed dancing” with the professionals, a process where they rotate partners in a circle to gauge who shares good chemistry.
“[It] was really funny. All the men get in a circle and all the female pros are on the outside. You do a little waltz and then they move on, and you dance again, sort of like a chemistry-type test, and then you move on again. You’re like, ‘Oh, I liked [them]. Next one!'” he revealed.
Ranvir then enquired: “Do you think they’ve chosen your partner for you already or do you think they were still looking?”
Ross responded: “They’re definitely still looking. There’s definitely the whole chemistry of who gets on with who. But also size-wise as well, because I think Stefan Dennis is the only person that’s a little bit smaller than me.”
The television personality then urged viewers to “watch out” for Ellie Goldstein and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, aka Nitro from Gladiators, after being thoroughly impressed by their dancing abilities.
“I can tell you who’s really good, Harry. It was so funny, I won’t name the male dancer who leaned forward and said to me, ‘He’s really good but his body lets him down’,” Ross revealed.
He finished by saying: “Little Ellie was an absolute star. Watch out for her, everyone’s going to love her.”
