Coronation Street spoilers for next week see a heartbreaking split for one couple after four years of marriage

Coronation Street is set for dramatic scenes next week as one couple split after four years of marriage.

Soap watchers will recall that Abi Webster has been cheating on husband Kevin Webster with his own brother Carl Webster for weeks.

Earlier this year, Kevin was diagnosed with testicular cancer and over the summer he was given the all clear. However, Kevin kept the news secret from Abi, pretending he was still battling cancer and even going so far to pretend he had been undergoing chemotherapy in a desperate attempt to stop his wife from leaving him.

After learning about Kevin’s betrayal, Abi has distanced herself and ran straight into Carl’s arms, telling him in July thar she she is done with Kevin and passionately kissing her brother-in-law after months of flirting. The duo have since embarked in a secret affair.

In spoilers for next week, Abi quizzes Carl about Tracy Barlow, who was blackmailing the duo after discovering their affair. Carl makes out that he fed her a sob story, she bought it and won’t be bothering them again.

Later, Abi thanks Tracy for backing off to which Tracy reveals she didn’t have much choice as Carl got someone to trash her shop and threatened to hurt her dad, leaving Abi horrified.

Later in the week, at the hospital for Kevin’s cancer check, the doctor gives him the all clear. Kevin floods with relief whilst Abi hides her unease, especially when Kevin gushes he’s looking forward to them growing old together.

Following the hospital appointment, Abi meets up with Carl and tells him she hates leading a double life and lying to Kevin.

Back at home, Kevin suggests they spend their retirement doing up old cars to which a sheepish Abi drops the bombshell that she thinks they should break up after four years of marriage. The soap couple married in 2021.

As the week ends, Kevin tells Tyrone Dobbs about his break up with Abi and how he suspects she might be having an affair with Carl.

Meanwhile, over in the hotel bedroom, Abi snuggles up next to Carl and suggests it’s time for them to run away together and start a new life.

Carl, who has been secretly cheating on Abi with James Bailey, tries to make light of the situation.

Yet could the couple find their affair exposed once and for all as Kevin’s sister Debbie Webster pays brother Carl a visit and is shocked to find Abi there…
