Gogglebox’s Amy Tapper hits back after a fan accused her of “lying” about her 7.5 stone weight loss, insisting she’s been honest about using injections

Former Gogglebox favourite Amy Tapper has clapped back at a furious fan who accused her of misleading people over her huge weight loss.

The 26-year-old appeared on Good Morning Britain earlier this week where she revealed she’s shed 7½ stone with the help of weight-loss injection Mounjaro. But after proudly sharing her progress online, one follower was quick to claim Amy hadn’t been upfront about how she’d slimmed down.

The fan accused Amy of giving the impression her transformation was all down to diet and exercise, posting: “It’s fine for you to use the injection, but don’t pretend you did this naturally when people have supported you thinking that was how it happened.”

Amy wasted no time firing back, telling them: “If you watch the whole interview you’ll hear that I started the injections last June, I haven’t done the diet you are talking about since 2023 so there’s been no lying here.”

Despite her sharp response, the critic doubled down and insisted Amy hadn’t been transparent from the start. They argued: “But you didn’t say you were taking the injection… When you put up those before and after pics… Some of us believed you did it naturally.”

Amy shot to fame alongside her family on Channel 4’s Gogglebox back in 2013, becoming one of the show’s best-loved cast members. Since leaving the series, she’s remained in the spotlight with regular TV appearances and an active social media presence where she’s documented her health journey.

Her latest transformation, though, has sparked plenty of debate. During her GMB appearance, Amy admitted she now plans to stay on the jab permanently, explaining: “I will be on it for life. I mean, obviously, we will look through it and we’ll see as we go along. We don’t know what can happen. But the plan is, I’m on the highest dose at the moment.”

While some fans applauded her honesty about turning to medical help, others claimed she should have been clearer about using Mounjaro before posting before-and-after photos.

But Amy has made it clear she isn’t hiding anything and remains proud of the progress she’s achieved. And if her fiery clap-back is anything to go by, the TV star won’t be letting the trolls get her down anytime soon.
