Several Liverpool stars have already shared their verdict on the signing of Alexander Isak.

The Reds announced the British record deal to bring the Swedish international to Anfield late on Monday evening. Liverpool had agreed a £125million transfer fee to sign Isak from Newcastle United ahead of deadline day, bringing an end to months of intense speculation.

As reported by The Guardian, Isak has signed a six-year deal worth a colossal £300,000 a week. A major increase from his £120,000-per-week wages at Newcastle.

The deal was confirmed a few hours after the deadline had passed, with Isak being handed the No. 9 shirt which had been left vacant following the departure of Darwin Nunez.

Isak is now expected to join up with the Sweden national team during the international break before participating in his first training sessions as a Liverpool player.

His debut could be against Burnley on 14 September in the club’s first match after the international break.

After which the Reds will then face Atletico Madrid and Everton at Anfield in the Champions League and Premier League, respectively.

After the biggest transfer saga of the summer concluded, it has led to members of the Liverpool dressing room reacting on social media.

The Reds posted several times on their Instagram account following Isak’s announcement, including photos and videos from the striker’s signing day.

The post which confirmed the signing of Isak received more than 400,000 likes, including some from Hugo Ekitike and Milos Kerkez, as well as former Liverpool star Luis Diaz.

Another post, captioned “Worth the wait” and featuring a snap of Isak, garnered likes from Virgil van Dijk and Conor Bradley, while Diaz and Liverpool legend Ian Rush also showed their appreciation for both posts.
