Kelly Brook has said she will have to “get her head around” the fact she will never be a mother and confessed to feeling heartbroken over the issue

Glamour model and Loose Women star Kelly Brook has admitted she may need to come to terms with the possibility of never becoming a mother.

The 45-year-old beauty, who’s been married to Italian model and actor Jeremy Parisi for three years, was previously in a long-term relationship with Jason Statham. Despite not having children with Jason, 58, he’s since fathered two youngsters with his fiancée, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Kelly and Jeremy have yet to start their own family, a topic Kelly touched on in a recent interview. The Loose Women panellist, hailing from Rochester, Kent, confessed: “The time has probably run out, I don’t know, I just have to get my head around it.”

Reflecting on her past relationship with Jason, Kelly expressed some regret over its end, describing him as “the best” during the candid chat. However, they parted ways years ago and Jason began dating Rosie, famed for her work with lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret, in 2010.

In a conversation with the Daily Mail this week, Kelly pondered how she’d feel if she and Jeremy were to split and he had children with someone else.

She revealed: “If our marriage doesn’t end up successful in the long term, how would I feel seeing him go on and have children with other people? We made the decision early on that we wouldn’t have children, but I can’t say I wouldn’t be heartbroken.”

When the couple first got together – with Kelly aged 36 at the time – they reportedly made a pact to embrace a more peaceful way of life and neither felt compelled to start a family.

Yet now, roughly a decade later, Kelly has looked back and spoken candidly about this decision, reports the Mirror.

During an appearance on Loose Women towards the end of last year, Kelly revealed: “It is the expectation (to have children)… I had thought ‘I need to just have this baby’ and ‘this might the last chance’ and ‘who knows.’ In my 30s, it consumed me to be honest.”

However, the television star also disclosed during this chat that she had endured “several miscarriages” throughout her thirties.

She spoke about becoming pregnant “by accident” and her heartbreak over the pregnancy losses, along with the “backlash” she encountered for remaining childless.

Meanwhile, women are opting to become mothers later irrespective of their educational background, Dr Miriam Stoppard recently contended.

She referenced research conducted by Professor John Ermisch from Oxford’s Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science, which examined the ages and educational backgrounds of women giving birth.

The overall fertility rate for England and Wales dropped from 1.94 children per woman in 2010 to 1.55 children per woman in 2021, based on figures from the Office for National Statistics.
