Married at First Sight UK star Leigh Harris has shared her thoughts on her wedding to Leah Tyrer

Married at First Sight UK bride Leigh Harris has admitted, “I felt uncomfortable”, as fans issued the same complaint.

The tenth series of the popular reality programme kicked off at the weekend, featuring a new cast who were ready to marry complete strangers.

Among the hopeful singletons putting their trust in the matchmaking experts was Leigh, a 30-year-old clinical coder from Romford.

The prospective bride was seeking a masculine-presenting woman who shared her enthusiasm for spirituality, ambitions and dedication to hard work.

Experts Mel Schilling, Paul C Brunson and Charlene Douglas paired Leigh with 35-year-old construction consultant Leah Tyrer, with the couple appearing ideally suited on paper, reports Essex Live.

Yet, the pair failed to connect at the altar, with Leigh swiftly confessing she might have made a “mistake”.

“She’s absolutely stunning, but I’m not sure if she does have a masculine side, so am I going to fancy her? And in this moment, I don’t feel like I do,” she continued.

“Leah does come across really feminine, so I wanna get to know if she does have a masculine side to find that physical attraction, but I’m worried that that won’t come.”

The awkwardness escalated when Leigh declined to kiss her new spouse during their wedding photo session. She also requested that Leah sleep in a different room that evening.

“What the hell is she doing? Not exactly how I thought the first night would go after a wedding. So weird,” an exasperated Leah revealed to the cameras.

“I respect her boundaries. However, I think if it continued throughout the process, I’d be like, ‘Nah, I’m gone.'”

On Tuesday (September 23), Leigh took to her Instagram Story to share a clip of her co-star Davide Anica urging supporters to show “kindness” and be “gentle” towards the participants.

She accompanied it with the message: “Can we all remember this when you see my attitude in tonight’s ep. I felt VERY awkward and uncomfortable taking those photos, please don’t come for me.”

Nevertheless, fans quickly voiced their irritation about Leigh’s treatment of Leah across social media platform X (previously Twitter).

One viewer posted: “Leigh kicking Leah out on the wedding night. Does she know what show she’s on, you wanting space already is crazy. Get a grip,” whilst another questioned: “Leigh, no, what are you doing!?”
