The fast food chain is giving customers a treat by launching a new addition to its breakfast meal after it became a hit in the north
McDonald’s is launching a brand new Sausage Sandwich across the nation from Wednesday (September 10) after what the firm said was a triumphant trial run throughout the north of England. The creation features a pork sausage patty – ethically sourced from RSPCA assured farms – nestled in a fluffy bun, crowned with melted cheddar cheese and your choice of either ketchup or brown sauce.
Making its debut on the Saver Menu, the Sausage Sandwich will set you back just £1.99. Alternatively, you can snap up a bundle deal including a selected beverage for £2.99.
Ben Fox, McDonald’s UK and Ireland senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said: “We know our customers love a bit of fun as much as they love great value. The new Sausage Sandwich may look like a burger, but it proves that looks can be deceiving.
“It’s savoury, saucy and a proper breakfast treat, made with our delicious RSPCA assured pork patty – all from just £1.99 and of course only available until 11am.”
The Sausage Sandwich has already become a hit with customers, with many flocking to Reddit to share their views. One person wrote: “As one of the few people who doesn’t like egg this is great news,” while another commented: “Looks yum just wish they’d sell them all day.”
Meanwhile, McDonald’s recently unveiled its Deal Drop reports Devon Live, offering a McChicken Sandwich for just £1.39 through the McDonald’s App, slashing £3 off the usual price.
From September 12 to 14, football fans can take advantage of the Premier League Offer, bagging £3 off every £15 spend.
