Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left divided after the celebrity and professional dancer pairings for the 2025 series were reportedly leaked online
Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are expressing sympathy for Amy Dowden following reports that the celebrity partnerships for the 2024 series have been revealed online ahead of the official announcement.
Saturday evening’s programme will showcase the stars being matched with their professional dance partners in a pre-recorded segment filmed the previous week.
Whilst Daily Star has opted against disclosing the celebrity pairings, supporters have flocked to social media platforms to voice their opinions about the partnerships, with many expressing disappointment.
Several have already begun speculating about potential Glitterball Trophy winners this year, with predictions suggesting Amy might be overlooked once again.
Following reports that an insider allegedly revealed the pairings online, one disgruntled viewer vented: “Is this show Strictly Come Dancing or Strictly Vito? Isn’t 3 finals and a trophy enough? What is with the producers giving Vito the favourites every year? Give the other pros a chance to go to the finals,” reports Wales Online.
Another supporter remarked: “It’s ridiculous XXXX has been sidelined again, yet Vito has got one of the bookies’ favourites after 3 finals and 1 trophy. Where’s the fairness?”.
A third chimed in: “Poor Amy has been thrown under a bus. XXXX dancing with another XXXXX, omen or not? I got one right. Karen is finally getting a decent partner for a change.”
Another viewer echoed the sentiment, simply stating: “Poor Amy.”
One fan boldly predicted, “Another win for Vito then,” while another expressed outrage, “Justice for XXX, no partner again.”
Nevertheless, not all viewers were left disheartened by the partnerships, with one enthusiast declaring: “Some great pairings.”
The star-studded line-up for the 2025 series includes Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, better known as Nitro, Dani Dyer, Alex Kingston, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Balvinder Sopal, and George Clarke.
La Voix, Chris Robshaw, Ellie Goldstein, Thomas Skinner, Vicky Pattison, Stefan Dennis, Ross King. Karen Carney and Lewis Cope will also be strutting their stuff in a bid to win the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
The professional dancers twirling back onto the show are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Vito Coppola.
Adding some fresh faces to the mix, Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon will be making their debut on the dance floor.
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday on BBC One.
