Vicky Pattison gave a candid insight into her Strictly Come Dancing journey on Wednesday
Strictly Come Dancing’s Vicky Pattison has heaped praise on her professional dance partner after revealing a snap of her painful blister wounds.
The 37 year old is amongst the celebrities leading the 2025 lineup, and took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a frank update about rehearsals.
Posting a photograph of her agonising blister injuries, Vicky wrote: “Wallop. It has BEGUN” alongside a crying laughing emoji as she tagged Strictly in the image.
In a separate post, the reality star expressed her tiredness yet enthusiasm for Strictly, lauding her “amazing” professional partner who remains under wraps.
Vicky wrote: “I cannot express how exhausted but happy I am… the first Strictly record in the bag! I’ve made no secret about how daunted I am by this experience… but I’m determined to try my best, work as hard as I can and not let you guys or my amazing partner down!”, reports Wales Online.
“But I just wanted to thank all the amazing @bbcstrictly team, the unbelievable pros and all the gorgeous celebs who’ve held my hand this week and made me feel so much better… I love you all and I can’t wait for you guys to see it soon!”.
Later that evening, Vicky posted a picture of her McDonald’s meal, informing her followers: “Been too nervous to eat all day… but this was defos worth the wait.”
And on Thursday, Vicky shared another candid insight as she posted a selfie alongside the caption: “Thought the old Strictly nerves might have subsided abit after I got through last night relatively unscatched… but sadly I’m still like a coiled spring. But a nice phone call with my @p_wicks01 and a little cry has really helped… love you pet… and thank you” with a heart emoji.
This comes after a tearful Vicky confessed that she suffered a “mini-breakdown” and encountered an “unrelenting” timetable whilst preparing for Strictly Come Dancing last week. In a recent episode of the Get A Grip podcast, hosted by Vicky Pattison and Angela Scanlon, the Strictly Come Dancing hopeful opened up about the stress she’s been under in anticipation of the upcoming season.
Vicky confided to her co-host and fellow ex-Strictly contestant, Angela, 41, that she’d been feeling out of sorts due to an intense week and a relentless schedule.
She recounted having a “mini-breakdown” following a family holiday, explaining how she’d been wandering around in a “haze” and decided to seek therapy again. Vicky even asserted that it “can’t go on.”
She admitted: “All this can’t go on. I feel like I’ve just been walking around in this haze for so long pretending to be happy and all the rest of it and I’m not, so I went back to therapy.”
In another candid revelation, she shared that she’d been getting help from the Speakmans, the therapists on ITV’s This Morning, confessing: “I pretty much cried for three hours straight.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns later this month on BBC One.
