Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins, who was a convicted paedophile, was murdered in prison on 11 October 2025 and his former bandmate has said he “ruined everything”
A furious former Lostprophets member issued a scathing remark about paedo frontman Ian Watkins.
Back in January 2025, one fan replied to Lee Gaze’s tweet and told the former Lostprophets star that they’d once met him at Kerrang Radio. Lee savagely responded: “Sorry that c*** ruined everything [laughing emoji] may he rot for eternity.”
The fan replied: “I’m more sorry for you guys! At least it was fun while it lasted.”
48-year-old Ian Watkins was murdered on 11 October 2025 while serving time in prison for a string of child sex offences. The convicted paedophile was serving 35 years for his crimes, including the attempted rape of a baby.
A source told The Sun: “Watkins has been killed in the most brutal way possible and the attack was shocking, even by prison standards. He was targeted by another inmate who shanked him in the neck.”
“Guards were nearby and raced to the scene pretty quickly, but there was nothing they could do and they could not save him. It was a horrific scene, with blood everywhere and alarms and sirens going off.”
“Police and ambulances were called and the whole prison was locked down with all cons confined to their cells.”
Authorities reportedly rushed to Wakefield Prison in West Yorkshire but Watkins could not be saved. Back in 2013, the Welsh rocker pleaded guilty at Cardiff Crown Court to 13 child sex offences and admitted to the rape and sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.
The musician was later given an additional 10 months after being caught with a mobile phone whilst incarcerated.
