Channel 4 has announced six new singles are set to join the ongoing series.
Married at First Sight is in full swing, and some of this year’s couples are already witnessing their relationships beginning to fracture.
The popular E4 dating experiment made its return earlier this month, bringing together 18 hopeful singletons who met their prospective spouses for the very first time at the altar. Whilst relationship gurus Charlene Douglas, Melanie Schilling, and Paul C. Brunson have already demonstrated their matchmaking prowess, their mission is nowhere near complete.
Channel 4 has just revealed that six fresh faces will be joining the experiment from Monday evening (October 6). Meanwhile, the existing brides and grooms are currently tackling dinner parties and commitment ceremonies under the guidance of the relationship specialists, reports OK!
But this new group will be embarking on their MAFS UK journey from the very beginning. So, who are these optimistic singles?
Abi
Age: 34
From: Bournemouth
Occupation: Veterinary nurse
This Bournemouth bride originally hails from Reading but spent her formative years in Lebanon until age 14.
A passionate animal care professional, she dedicates her free time to fitness and has taken part in various levels of women’s bodybuilding competitions. Regarding matters of the heart, this future wife has never maintained a romance beyond 12 months.
When it comes to dating, the reality TV newcomer “tends to dive into things headfirst, which often results in her being heartbroken”.

This half-Italian, half-Welsh ‘romantic Romeo’ is career-focused but still finds time for his passions – travelling and singing. Despite being single for five years and having a history of falling too fast, he’s hopeful to find a brunette, family-oriented and honest woman.

Leisha is a fierce and independent woman working in the dental industry. She’s eager to follow in her parents’ footsteps and find a lasting relationship like their 40-year marriage.

Prepared to step outside his comfort zone, Leo is dubbed “the perfect groom for the MAFS experiment”. The graphic designer has remained single for five years after a devastating split.
He has battled with self-doubt and repeatedly found himself relegated to the ‘friendzone’. Nevertheless, he reckons the E4 programme is “the only way” he’ll find himself married.
Regarding his preferences, the Chichester groom seeks someone “artsy, creative with a lot of edge that loves to travel”.
Reiss
Age: 33
From: Essex
Occupation: Painter and decorator
The final groom poised to enter the programme is hard-working Reiss, who “wants people to see that he is more than a pretty face”. He has been single for six months and is keen to lavish the woman of his dreams with extravagant romantic displays.
The MAFS star seeks a glamorous, blonde and petite bride. As a believer in manifestation, Reiss trusts “the universe will bring him the perfect partner”.
