The Celebrity Traitors icon Alan Carr has been praised for his heroism after the comedian “saved his friend’s life” by fending off an attacker who was armed with a knife
Celebrity Traitors legend Alan Carr has been hailed a hero.
The Chatty Man “saved” one of his friends, actress Cleo Rocos, from an armed attacker. Rocos is known for her role in The Kenny Everett Television Show and told The Sun about the terrifying incident, during which Alan bravely confronted the assailant while they were holiday in Morocco.
The pals were enjoying a night out in Marrakesh when she was suddenly grabbed by a stranger brandishing a knife. Cleo admitted she thought it was some sort of prank: “I pushed him away but he grabbed me tighter and, in really bad English, he said he wanted to be with me.”
“We didn’t think he was being serious but then he pulled a knife out. It was probably about 10 inches long.”
Cleo said Alan sprang into action and remained “calm” as he positioned himself between Cleo and the attacker: “Most people would have been terrified, but Alan was surprisingly calm.”
“He pulled me to the other side of him so he was standing between me and the man, and he said: ‘Don’t be so rude!,” reports the Mirror.
“Before the man could react he’d slapped the knife out of his hand. The man wasn’t expecting that and I was shocked. We walked off at a pace and we kept looking behind us wondering if this man was going to come at us again with the knife.”
Alan “really knocked the wind out of” the attacker as they made their escape: “He didn’t punch him or anything but he disarmed him and he was so brave in the way he handled it.”
Cleo said she owes her life to Alan for his brave actions as things could have ended very differently: “That night could have gone terribly wrong, but Alan dealt with the situation so decisively, he literally saved my life!”
