I’m a Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec have revealed it’s been ‘a while’ since a jungle romance graced our screens, just as campmate Aitch shared a ‘soft spot’ for EastEnders star Shona McGarty
Ant and Dec are desperate for Shona McGarty and Aitch to enjoy a jungle romance. It comes after the rapper revealed that he has a soft spot for fellow camper and EastEnders star Shona.
Dec said he was shell-shocked by the comments when watching the scenes shortly before they aired, on Friday night. He said: “This came completely out of the blue this morning.” Ant added: “It’s been a while since we’ve had a proper one on this show. We’d love to see it….we would celebrate it.”
The presenting duo confirmed that both Aitch and Shona are single. Aitch made the confession to Angry Ginge on the show.
“I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Shona, me,” Aitch said, to which Ginge replied: “I think she’s really nice, if that’s what you mean, yeah?” Keeping things low-key, Aitch commented: “Yeah, that’s what I mean…”
Shona broke up with her musician fiancé, David Bracken, earlier this year. Insiders say the split is amicable, and he recently wished her all the best for the jungle on social media.
It comes after the celebs cleaned up the camp in a bid to be in the running for a badge. Aitch collected logs while Shona and Jack Osbourne took the dunny duty.
Kelly Brook told Vogue Williams she chose not to have her morning jungle shower so she could nurse the rice after being appointed as chef. Meanwhile, Celebs Go Dating’s Anna Williamson defended co-star Tom Read Wilson, 38, after Aitch took a swipe at his posh accent.
Upon arrival into the Jungle, Tom was quizzed by Aitch on whether he was ever going to “switch” his voice off.
A friend of Tom’s, Anna, said: “I just want to support my friend,” when asked about his voice.
“Aitch on I’m A Celeb was just asking about the way Tom speaks and was waiting for him to ‘turn it off’.
“You know what? I’m just gonna myth bust that right now.
“It’s probably the most common question that people say to myself and Paul (C Brunson) about Tom like ‘is that his real voice? Is that how he really talks or is it an act?’
“Let me tell you now on my kids’ graves. That is how Tom speaks.”
