Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has announced that she’s engaged to her footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson after he popped the question during her 30th birthday celebrations
Coronation Street’s Lucy Fallon was visibly emotional as she announced her engagement to footballer Ryan Ledson.
The soap star, best known for her role as Bethany Platt on the ITV show, shared the joyous news on Sunday (November 16) that her boyfriend had proposed.
The couple, who are parents to two children – Sonny and Nancy – made their relationship public in June 2021.
Their love story began during lockdown, nearly a year after Lucy reportedly ended her three-year relationship with ex-boyfriend Tom Leech. The pair connected on the celebrity dating app, Raya.
In September 2022, they revealed that Lucy was expecting their first child and was already five months along, reports the Manchester Evening News.
This joyful announcement followed a heartbreaking miscarriage Lucy experienced in March 2022, which she discovered during a private scan at seven weeks.
The couple were blessed with their son Sonny in February 2023, and welcomed their second child, a daughter named Nancy, in January.
Now, following Ryan’s romantic proposal during Lucy’s 30th birthday celebrations, the pair are preparing to walk down the aisle.
Breaking the exciting news, Lucy shared a series of snaps on Instagram, proudly displaying her stunning engagement ring.
The first image captured the couple in a sweet selfie, with Lucy’s hand positioned towards the camera, and the soon-to-be bride appeared overwhelmed with emotion as tears welled up in her eyes.
A second photograph revealed Lucy seated at a restaurant, raising her glass whilst her dazzling engagement ring caught the light on her ring finger.
Captioning the heartwarming post, the soap actress penned: “Ending the birthday weekend with my best friend as a fiancé! ! ! ! I can’t wait to marry you @ryanledson8.”
The well-wishes poured in immediately from fellow stars and fans alike. Corrie colleague Cait Fitton exclaimed: “Congratulations beauty one! ! ! That is amazing.”
Vicky Myers also enthused: “Congratulations to you both! What wonderful news.” Andy Whyment responded: “That’s amazing news absolutely made up for you both.”
Emmerdale actress Laura Norton chimed in: “Congrats lucy.” England footballer Chloe Kelly added: “Congratulations [love heart eyes emojis].”
