The Daily Star’s TV man reckons we’re learning a lot about the stars of this year’s I’m a Celebrity, especially their preferences when it comes to food
We’re learning so much about these campmates.
Last night alone, we learned that Martin’s wife Shirley had done the proposing when they got engaged. So had Kelly, having decided her Jeremy was The One.
We also learned, surprisingly, that Kelly tends to babble, but her Doomsville campmate Tom seems to find this rather soothing at night.
“We’re very proximate to the babbling Brook,” I distinctly heard him say. “It does lull you off very quickly…”
My own biggest shock was learning so many campmates enjoy cupcakes, the Official Snack Food of Satan®, and would do anything to win one. Each cupcake prize was locked above a box of stinking offal. Personally I’d have picked that every time.
Most absorbing of all, though, was Ginge and Alex’s chat about ambition. Ginge revealed his self-belief sustained him in his early days of streaming.
Alex said her partner, singer Jess Glynne, also initially struggled to attract attention. “And then…bam!” cried Alex. “She exploded!”
Extraordinary, eh?
I hope to God the ambulance reached her in time.
