A Married at First Sight UK couple have confirmed they are no longer together after final vows as the bride broke down in tears during the explosive reunion
Married at First Sight couple have confirmed that they have parted ways after their final vows.
The E4 reality show, which is arguably one of the much talked-about dating experiments on TV, has kept viewers gripped for ten weeks.
Leisha and Reiss, a couple who experienced their fair share of highs and lows throughout the series, even found themselves embroiled in drama with fellow participants Leah and Leigh after Leisha shared a kiss with Leigh during a group outing.
Despite their turbulent journey on the show, the pair made it to the final vows, where they had to decide whether to stay together or part ways.
During these final vows, both expressed doubts about the longevity of their relationship, reports OK!. Adding to the tension, Leisha had already confessed her love for Reiss, who was moving more slowly and chose not to reciprocate verbally.
Reiss surprised everyone at the final ceremony by committing to continue his marriage to Leisha, despite expectations to the contrary.
After a moment of uncertainty, they both agreed to extend their marriage beyond the confines of the experiment.
However, it seems that the couple were unable to sustain their relationship outside the show. During the first part of the eagerly awaited reunion on Thursday (November 13) night, an emotional Leisha admitted she still harbours feelings for Reiss.
Just before reuniting with her co-stars, Leisha confessed: “When we left the experiment, I was worried that I was more into the marriage than he was but we both worked hard to make it work.”
Reiss shared his side of the story with the camera, saying: “Since leaving the experiment, Leisha came down to see me and then I went up to Scotland.
“We had some cracking times and she is a beautiful girl inside and out but sadly we couldn’t make things work. I’ve not seen Leisha since it ended.”
An emotional Leisha struggled to hold back tears as she admitted: “I am devastated that my married with Reiss hasn’t worked out because I still love Reiss and I think about him everyday.”
She further expressed her sorrow, stating: “So right now I’m feeling really sad because I really wanted it to work and I put my heart and soul into it and it just wasn’t reciprocated.”
