Emergency services are dealing with an incident at the River Tawe close to Fabian Way in Swansea. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service teams rushed to the scene at 7.46am after receiving alerts about a person in the water, and continue their operation alongside police and paramedics.
Fire teams from Swansea Central, Carmarthen, Swansea West and Morriston Fire Stations are woorking with the RNLI, South Wales Police and Coast Guard in scouring both the river and its banks for the individual.
Welsh Ambulance Service has deployed one Cymru High Acuity Response Unit, one operations manager and a hazardous area response team to the location.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed: “We were called today at approximately 7:40am, to reports of an incident in the River Tawe, Swansea.”, reports Wales Online.
“We sent one emergency ambulance, one Cymru High Acuity Response Unit, one operations manager and a hazardous area response team to the scene.”
