Princess Eugenie was spotted at an event for the first time earlier this week, amid chaos around her father after Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew has lost his royal titles
Princess Eugenie was spotted for the first time since her father’s fall from grace, after King Charles stripped him of his royal titles and home due to his links to paedophile billionaire Jeffery Epstein.
Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew, who will henceforth be referred to as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, has also consented to vacate Royal Lodge amid ongoing fallout from his association with the convicted paedophile financier.
However, her daughter’s are set to maintain their positions within the Royal Family despite the King initiating formal proceedings to remove their father’s titles following the Jeffrey Epstein controversy. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will keep their Royal titles as daughters of a Sovereign’s son, in accordance with King George V’s Letters Patent from 1917.
The siblings are expected to continue participating in Royal gatherings at Sandringham during Christmas and other family occasions. Now, Princess Eugenie has been spotted for the first time earlier this week, attending an event held by The King’s Foundation.
In a post on Instagram, she shared: “Earlier this week, I had an inspiring morning helping to mentor members of The King’s Foundation’s 35 under 35 network.
“Brought together by the Foundation as part of the charity’s 35th anniversary celebrations this year, the network recognises young makers and changemakers who prioritise sustainability and nature in their work and crafts, just like The King’s Foundation. I’m looking forward to supporting the network as they progress in their careers and seeing what they get up to next!”
It comes as shamed Andrew Windsor faces the prospect of spending Christmas Day alone after being snubbed by his his daughters. Princesses Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, are expected to be among those at Sandringham for the traditional Royal Family Christmas.
King Charles – who stripped his brother of his titles last week – has ruled out having him round, but is said to want someone to spend the festive season with “Ordinary Andy”, leaving royal aides and relatives scrambling for a solution.
His brother Prince Edward, 61, or sister Princess Anne, 75, could potentially step in after ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is believed to have received invitations to spend Christmas with friends.
A source told The Sun : “It is a conundrum what they do with Andrew this Christmas. No one wants to be seen with him, and the family have pretty much given up on him.
“Beatrice and Eugenie are very likely to be at Sandringham, as they are very much still in the royal fold. Although Sarah is still living at Royal Lodge, she is believed to be weighing up invitations to spend it with friends, including possibly going abroad.
“But Andrew is depressed after losing his titles and being exiled from the Royal Family, so they don’t want to leave him on his own.”
