A woman who has revealed her hated for wearing bras has confessed that she no longer wears one, even if she’s heading to work.
Fashion influencer Shareefa Gyami told the world on her social media accounts that doesn’t like bras and doesn’t feel the need to one for her job. She says that despite being braless, her outfits have always remained “classy” as she demonstrated a sophisticated look in an outfit of the day post.
In one TikTok video, Shareefa wrote: “Boobs belong in the workforce.”
The video showed her wearing a cream-colored thick short-sleeve top with matching high-waisted trousers.
Shareefa posed with pride as she wore her outfit while telling people that she wasn’t wearing a bra as she strongly stated she did not have time for people’s opinions.
She wrote in the caption: “Literally argue with your mum if you disagree, I don’t have time.”
An many TikTok users’ agreed with her stance. One woman replied: “100% agree. I am not being uncomfortable for anyone.”
Another added: “I literally don’t understand why people get up in arms about the female anatomy. You look stylish.”
Meanwhile, a third commented: “Agreed!! What is unprofessional about a woman’s body?!”
Following the success of the post, Shareefa shared an update which saw her write: “Boobs belong in the workplace pt. 2.”
This time wearing a black fitted long-sleeve turtleneck together with a pair of faux leather pants, she added: “Professional outfits ft. my body the way it was made.”
However, some people seem confused as to why she thought going braless was seen as so controversial given her outfits.
One said: “Are people at work breast phobic or is it just busty women phobic?”
Another noted that the stigma around the issue originated from misogyny, and another claimed what’s deemed appropriate work clothing depends on what type of job you have.
Shareefa told people how confident she is in her own skin, and dubbed herself a baddie in her third video on the subject.
It was captioned: “I’d rather mow the lawn with my teeth than wear a bra pt. 3.”
Shareefa wore a brown fitted jumpsuit that bared a plunging neckline, as she showed off her cleavage.
She was also seen miming to a song that said: “I felt like I always knew I was a baddie because, you know, my mum’s a baddie.”
The influencer added: “She always gets what she wants so I’m a baddie too, I get what I want.”
