A 65-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being mauled by a pack of ‘Bullies and Staffys’ in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire, on Friday evening
A dog walker was hospitalised after a gang of ‘Bullies and Staffys’ savagely attacked him and his Labrador in Cambuslang, Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Bogleshole Road at approximately 5.05pm on Friday, 19 September, following reports of a “group of dogs setting upon a man and his dog”.
The victim, a 65 year old man, was rushed to hospital for treatment, while his pet Labrador was taken to a local vet.
Police have since arrested a 27 year old man in relation to the incident. An eyewitness told Glasgow Live that the five dogs involved in the attack were “Bullies and Staffys”.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed: “Around 5.05pm on Friday, 19 September, 2025 we received a report of a group of dogs setting upon a man and his dog in Bogleshole Road, Cambuslang.
“Officers attended and a 27-year-old man was arrested in connection.
“The 65 year old man attended hospital for treatment and his dog was taken to a veterinary practice. The 27 year old will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
