Strictly Come Dancing celebrity contestant Thomas Skinner has shared a sweet tribute to his professional partner, Amy Dowden on social media.
Last weekend, BBC viewers witnessed Thomas Skinner make his Strictly Come Dancing debut alongside professional partner Amy Dowden.
The pair delivered a passionate paso doble, securing a score of 16 and landing them in 13th place on the leaderboard. Meanwhile, Karen Carney sits at the top of the rankings, though she recently revealed a backstage blunder.
As the second live show approaches rapidly, all 15 contestants have been grafting hard in rehearsals. Yet Thomas has paused to honour his partner following her courageous cancer fight.
Posting a snap on his Instagram, the Strictly celebrity displayed his hands sporting pink nail varnish, accompanied by additional photos from his routine with Amy, reports Wales Online.
He wrote: “This picture just came up on my phone from 6 years ago when I painted my nails pink to help raise awareness for breast cancer.”

“Now 6 years later, I’m dancing on Strictly Come Dancing with my little Cancer warrior @amy_dowden, who has battled breast cancer and helped raise awareness. She honestly is a living legend.
“Just a reminder to anyone; fellas can get it to. Make sure to check your breasts. Stay safe everyone and love you all. Bosh.”
Fans rushed to respond to the touching tribute, with Amy herself replying: “Thanks partner for all your support! These kind, lovely words! Now let’s have a great time on Lorraine, then work hard and have another day of fun in the dance studio xxx.”
One person commented: “Brilliant post, especially saying about Men as so many are unaware they can get it.” Meanwhile, another contributed: “This is so lovely.” As someone else penned: “Well said, Bosh.”
In 2023, Amy received a grade three breast cancer diagnosis after finding a lump just one day before her honeymoon.
Heartbreakingly, following a mastectomy, medical professionals told Amy they had found additional tumours and a different form of cancer.
The 35-year-old endured chemotherapy treatment and has been candid about her cancer battle with her Instagram audience.
During 2024, the Strictly celebrity completed her chemotherapy course and announced there was ‘no evidence’ of the illness.
Nevertheless, the BBC personality remains under medical supervision and must attend monthly injection appointments for a minimum of five years.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday (October 4) on BBC One from 6:18pm.
