Ex-The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner has been announced as the tenth Strictly Come Dancing contestant for the new series, which returns to BBC One later this year
Thomas Skinner has been unveiled as the tenth star to join the line-up for Strictly.
The telly favourite, social media sensation and entrepreneur is set to grace the renowned ballroom when the BBC One show makes its comeback this September.
Thomas first graced our screens on The Apprentice in 2019, quickly becoming a standout personality of his series.
Post-Apprentice, Thomas has made appearances on popular TV shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Wheel, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Good Morning Britain and Faking It, not forgetting his unforgettable stint on Celebrity Masterchef that spawned countless memes.
A true Romford lad, Thomas is a self-proclaimed ‘grafter’, having spent a significant part of his life working on market stalls. He currently manages several small businesses, with ventures spanning from mattresses to a gym, reports Wales Online.
His motivational-style social media videos, often showcasing unconventional breakfasts, have amassed a huge following. In 2023, he published his debut book Graft – How to Smash Life.
Thomas also regularly features on TalkSport Radio and in 2024, he co-hosted their men’s mental health podcast The Men’s Room with Neil Ruddock.
Upon confirming his participation in Strictly Come Dancing, Thomas expressed: “I’m beyond excited to be joining Strictly Come Dancing.
“I’ve tackled the boardroom and some big breakfasts in my time but stepping onto the dance floor under that glitter ball is next level stuff!”.
“I’ve never danced in my life (other than at weddings) but I’m ready to graft and of course have a laugh. Bring on the sequins, sambas and most importantly, the BOSH to the ballroom! .”
The announcement was initially hinted at by Thomas through a clip shared on his social media from his go-to coffee spot this morning, before being officially revealed on Hits Radio alongside Sam Thompson.
The rest of the famous faces set to join the fresh series of Strictly will be unveiled in due course.
