Stock markets are riding high even as warnings escalate that a crash could be on the way.

Investors have a host of worries on their plate, from an AI bubble to shadow banking and government debt mountains.

And it’s not just the usual market Cassandras sounding the alarm that something could go amiss, such august institutions as the IMF and Bank of England have also chipped in.

Yet, even as a bubble forms in AI bubble warnings, shares are flying high in the US, Europe and UK.

What’s going on, why are some investors worried and can we really draw comparisons with the dotcom boom or the era before the financial crisis?

On this episode of the Investing Show, Richard Hunter, head of markets, at Interactive Investor, joins This is Money’s Simon Lambert to discuss the main things triggering concerns over a crash, whether there is reason for the fears and what investors can do.
