Mysterious objet 3I/ATLAS is fuelling more alien speculation after top Harvard professor Avi Loeb revealed a string of bizarre new anomalies—including a perfectly calculated path to Jupiter and strange “jets”

The polarising interstellar object 3I/ATLAS has continued to spark worry with a series of bizarre anomalies that have been unveiled by a renowned Harvard professor.

Professor Avi Loeb has highlighted a precisely-tuned trajectory to Jupiter’s Hill radius, in addition to proving it has unusual “jets”, suggesting once again that 3I/ATLAS could be an alien mothership.

Professor Loeb, notable for stirring controversy with theories about extraterrestrial origins, has suggested in a new Medium blog post that several unusual features of the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS could indicate it’s not a natural comet. Instead, he has once again said it could potentially be an alien spacecraft engineered to deploy devices near Jupiter.

The theoretical physicist consequently included 3I/ATLAS’ precisely calculated trajectory toward Jupiter and discussed its mysterious jets. Moreover, according to Professor Loeb, the weird space object heading for Jupiter shows so many strange signs, it reinforces his idea that it is an alien spaceship, not just a comet.

“It is apparent that 3I/ATLAS is an extremely rare and mysterious object, especially if it happens to be a natural comet as argued by NASA officials,” the expert argued, as he listed scientific anomalies.

He added: “I explained that a spectroscopic measurement of the speed and composition of the jets of 3I/ATLAS would reveal whether they stem from the sublimation of pockets of ice on the surface of a rock or from technological thrusters.”

This comes as Professor Loeb newly revealed 3I/ ATLAS would be expected to reach its closest distance from Jupiter on March 16 next year.

He further claimed the level of non-gravitational acceleration was finely tuned to bring the mysterious space entity exactly to the radius of Jupiter’s gravitational influence, based on its currently trajectory.

He highlighted 12 anomalies that support his theory. He wrote in a previous blog post: “If 3I/ATLAS is technological in origin, it might have fine-tuned its trajectory with the help of thrusters so as to arrive at Jupiter’s Hill radius.

“In that case, the multiple jets observed around 3I/ATLAS in its post-perihelion images might have been used for the slight orbit correction needed.

“The optimal time for any such manoeuvre is close to perihelion when a spacecraft can take advantage of the gravitational assist from the Sun.

“In addition, 3I/ATLAS arrived at perihelion while being hidden behind the Sun for Earth-based observatories. We therefore do not know whether it just maneuvered slightly… or also released technological devices near perihelion.”
